American Horror Story

This is the third season of American Horror Story. This time it takes place in New Orleans, and it is about a special school for witches. I feel this season is one the best ones I have so far. The main characters in the story always seem to capture my interest in their story lines. In the last episode, one of my favorite characters, Kathy Bates, was taken prisoner by another clan of witches. She was imprisoned in an iron cage, where she really had no room to move. At the end of the episode, her "still alive" head was delivered in a cardboard box to the school for witches. With that said, tune in Wednesday evenings at 10pm on FX.

Grammar Point:

1) Do you believe in witches? Do you celebrate Halloween? Do you get scared? Write about the last costume your wore to a halloween celebration or party.

2)  Remember to use proper use of conventional language.

Birthdays

What is a birthday?

The annual anniversary of the day on which a person was born, typically treated as an occasion for celebration and present-giving.

Yesterday my oldest daughter turn the BIG 10! The girls were treated to manicures, pedicures, facials, make-up, and dress up. To end the celebration, my daughter and her friends put on a runaway show for all the moms and dads, and lastly, we had her favorite chocolate from Capri Bakery in Wantagh. We were all entertained by these little divas and had a blast!

1) Write about how you celebrate/ed your birthday. Did you have a party? Receive a special gift? What did you do? Who helped you celebrate your special day?

What is a Fraction?

Fraction comes from the Latin fractus, broken. In mathematics, a fraction is a concept of a proportional relation between an object part and the object whole.
A fraction is an example of a specific type of ratio, in which the two numbers are related in a part-to-whole relationship, rather than as a comparative relation between two separate quantities.
